EYNSO

Some works do not seek to produce images. They work under the very conditions of their appearance.

EYNSO was born from this requirement.

About Project

Designed by Rana Gorgani, the project is neither in the field of dance, nor in that of performance in the strict sense. It unfolds as a transdisciplinary research where the body, breath, light, matter and trace become the elements of the same plastic thought.

Its title resonates with Ein Sof, the“Infinite” of Jewish mystical tradition. This closeness is neither a quotation nor an appropriation. It designates an orientation: that of a creation that refuses to represent the infinite to question what, in the sensitive experience, escapes all representation.

The gesture, the trace, the perception

Rotation is never considered a virtuosity or an identity sign. It becomes a perceptual device. As the body rotates, landmarks move, time expands, space ceases to be a container and becomes living matter. The gesture does not only produce a movement: it transforms the conditions of our gaze.

Each work is conceived as a field of forces where presence and disappearance, immobility and displacement, visible and invisible, light and darkness dialogue. The trace that remains is not the document of a past action; it constitutes the work itself. What remains is never the performance, but the physical memory of its passage.

Legacy & resonances

Each EYNSO activation is a variation. Architecture, light, acoustics, duration, materials, audience and context become the parameters of a work that refuses fixity. Performance, installation, film, photography and drawing are not separate disciplines, but the successive states of the same process.

Contrary to an era dominated by acceleration and visual saturation, EYNSO offers another economy of attention. The work does not seek the event or the demonstration. It opens a space where the gaze slows down, where the breath regains its depth, where perception ceases to be an act of consumption to become an experience again.

EYNSO

EYNSO is not intended to illustrate a spirituality. He questions the very conditions of presence. Between appearance and erasure, he makes the invisible not a subject, but a matter of creation.
