EYNSO

Some works do not seek to produce images.
They work under the very conditions of their appearance.

EYNSO was born from this requirement.

Designed by Rana Gorgani, the project is neither in the field of dance, nor in that of performance in the strict sense. It unfolds as a transdisciplinary research where the body, breath, light, matter and trace become the elements of the same plastic thought.

Its title resonates with Ein Sof, the“Infinite” of Jewish mystical tradition. This closeness is neither a quotation nor an appropriation. It designates an orientation: that of a creation that refuses to represent the infinite to question what, in the sensitive experience, escapes all representation.

Each EYNSO activation is a variation. Architecture, light, acoustics, duration, materials, audience and context become the parameters of a work that refuses fixity. Performance, installation, film, photography and drawing are not separate disciplines, but the successive states of the same process.
